Nice poem, but there's nothing there of real substance.

* AGI is not yet achieved

* Current AI writes surface level code, which is impressive, but nowhere near as useful as people make it out to be

* If AI was actually useful, it would not be released to the public, and instead it would be used to create a more powerful company than any tech company out there.

* To the extent that it is useful (which isn't that much) it is also very expensive, not just to train, but also inference

I think people who get really excited are pretty new to AI and the whole paradigm, and it's understandable that they see the incredible potential but they are confusing a breakthrough with the final goal.

*sidenote: why doesn't HN have proper formatting? I know you want to keep the site simple, but common, add some basic text formatting like bullets. My God.
